HISTORY: Nelson Mandela inaugurated as President of SA

Today exactly 22 years ago Nelson Mandela was inaugurated as the first democratically elected President of the Republic of South Africa. After South Africa's first national democratic elections held in April 1994, the president of the African National Congress, Nelson Mandela, was sworn in as South Africa's first black president at the Union Buildings in Pretoria.
