The Hubble Space Telescope will this weekend celebrate its 26 anniversary in space. NASA's Hubble, named after astronomer Edwin Hubble, is one of the first major optical telescopes sent into space and currently enoys one of the most unobstructed view of the universe. The telescope was launched on April 24th, 1990 as has made roughly 1.2 million observations. But it's Hubble's latest discovery that might be one of the most special - a fitting image to go along Hubble's 26 candles.
