Ramaphosa confident of middle class vote in local elections

Deputy president Cyril Ramaphosa says he's received overwhelming support from the middle class in Nelson Mandela Bay. On Friday, he addressed the media following interactions with shoppers at the Greenacres Mall in Port Elizabeth. He said: "Most of the people have been saying 'we want the ANC to retain its seat in the metro here'. So I'm elated." The community engagement comes ahead of the ANC's manifesto launch on Saturday. South Africans go to the polls on 3 August.
