Hillary Clinton concedes US presidential race: 10 quotes from her speech
Updated | By Faith Daniels
Hillary Clinton has just delivered her concession speech, following her defeat to Donald Trump in yesterday's US presidential election. Clinton delivered a moving and powerful speech in New York - just hours after her shock loss.

The Democrat addressed a small crowd of supporters under the glass ceiling of the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in Manhattan, the same venue where she had last night planned to celebrate what was expected to be her historic victory.
Clinton was joined by her husband, former President Bill Clinton, and daughter Chelsea.
These are just some of the poignant parting words the former First Lady had for her millions of supporters:
- “I congratulated Donald Trump and offered to work with him.”
- “This is not the outcome that we wanted and I’m sorry that we did not win this election."
- “Being your candidate has been one of the greatest honour of my life."
- "I know how disappointed you feel, because I feel it too."
- “ This is painful and it will be for a long time."
- “ I still believe in America and I always will."
- "We must accept the result and look to the future."
- “ The American dream is big enough for everyone "
- "To Barack and Michelle Obama – our country owes you an enormous debt of gratitude. We thank you for your graceful and determined leadership."
- "To young girls: Never doubt you are valuable, powerful & deserve every chance in the world to pursue your own dreams."
