Jacaranda FM welcomes new talent to the line up

Jacaranda FM announced their new line-up which takes to the air September 01, 2016. 

Thabiso ‘Mack’ Rapapali has risen through the ranks after being discovered through a “Foot in the Door” competition in 2013. He starting on the late night shows, then moving to weekends, thereafter the pre-dawn show and; is now responsible for 09h00 to 12h00 weekdays.  Mack says, “Jacaranda FM has been a great journey and a dream come true for me, I promise to deliver a fun and relatable show to every ear that chooses 94.2”

Also officially welcomed to the line-up is former Miss South Africa, Liesl Laurie. Laurie who hails from Eldorado Park was also selected as one of the Top 10 finalists at Miss World 2015  and then became the Continental Queen of Africa. Laurie takes over the Sunday 20h00 to 24h00 slot. Liesl says, “I am thrilled to be part of the Jacaranda FM team, and I look forward to developing great relationships with all the listeners!” 

Station General manager, Kevin Fine says; “Mack’s talent and drive to be the best has shone through, and we can’t wait to see how he grows in this prime-time show. At the same time, Liesl is a wonderful acquisition who adds to our already great line-up and audiences have thus far had a great response to her show.” 

Other line-up changes include Kriya Gangiah moving to the pre-dawn show weekdays 04h00 t0 06h00, Johnny Simpson out of Port Elizabeth  joins the weekend line-up 12h00 to 16h00 Saturdays and Sundays, while Carla Mackenzie takes over The Late Show weekdays 22h00 to 01h00.
