KZN man dies after car plunges into pool

Authorities in Kwa Zulu-Natal are investigating the death of a man whose car veered off the road and landed in a swimming pool.
The man crashed into a pool at a home Amanzimtoti on Friday morning.
Paramedics found the man trapped in the wreckage and he was later freed with help from the police’s search and rescue unit.
Emer-G-Med Emergency spokesperson Kyle van Reenen says the man was declared dead on the scene by paramedics.
"On arrival on the scene, a light motor vehicle was found to have crashed through a residential boundary wall, overturning and landing in a swimming pool. Once freed, further assessment revealed the man to show no signs of life and he was declared dead on the scene. The cause of the collision is investigated by the police."
