Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) confirmed on Saturday that FlySafair flight FA212 landed safely at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg a short while after being forced to turn back due to a technical problem.

The plane, bound for Cape Town, reportedly suffered damage to one of its rear tyres during take-off.
