GMA Coronavirus Support: Helping a mom back on her feet after fleeing from abuse

ORIGINAL REQUEST:  She was discharged after almost two months in hospital recently, after suffering severe injuries due to domestic violence. Her one hand was badly injured and she developed septicemia which resulted in her getting a skin graft. She is also six months pregnant. While in hospital, her two children were placed in foster care, where they still are. She had no home to return to and currently lives in an outside building at a friend’s parents’ house. With no income, no home, and a baby on the way, Zandri’s mother - who helps where she can with limited resources - wrote to Good Morning Angels for assistance.

Ek wil graag my dogter, Zandri nomineer vir hulp.

Zandri woon in Pretoria-Noord, Wolmer. Sy is onlangs sleg deur haar man aangerand.  Dit was so erg dat sy 'n veloorplanting op haard hand  moes kry. Sy was vir amper twee maande in die hospitaal en het alles verloor. Haar kinders is in pleegsorg en sy woon tans in 'n half geboude gebou agter in mense se erf.  Sy is werkloos en het nie 'n inkomste nie en dan is sy tans ses-maande swanger. Dit gaan baie sleg. Zandri verjaar die 8ste Mei en ek het gedink dat dit dalk 'n goeie verjaarsdag sal wees indien iemand vir haar  net kan kos gee. Dit gaan beroerd by hulle.
