The creators of TikTok have posted to social media warning their community about the upsetting clip, encouraging people to swipe away when they see it on their timeline.
Some users even posted a screenshot of the beginning of the death by suicide video to warn people to not watch it.
TikTok said in a statement that its “systems have been automatically detecting and flagging” clips of the apparent suicide.
