One would wonder what criteria a hotel should have to be able to make the prestigious list. The hotel has to have an atmosphere, comfort that is hard to find anywhere else, things you can do at the hotel that is very limited elsewhere and of course the staff welcoming you with warm open arms.

The hotels are mostly in America and in Europe, however, two of the top 100 hotels are right on our doorstep.
