National police spokesperson Vish Naidoo says an alternative facility has been provided for the local community.
"The Witbank station is temporarily closed, while the local Methodist Church in Louwie Street is being used temporarily.
"Communities are encouraged to go to the church should they need police assistance while the station is being decontaminated."
All police officials will be tested for Covid-19 from Friday.
