Just a few more hours before the long weekend begins. This means more time for fun, relaxation and delicious food with family and friends.

If you love trying out new, interesting and tasty food, we have something special for you - Barney’s darkside rock & roll sosaties.

The recipe will have you licking your lips and will keep all your guests happy.

You can serve them with some Black Eyed Peas, Las Ketchup, Mud Honey, Korn, Pearl Jam, Meatloaf and Bananarama!


Matallica Marinade,

2 Red Hot Chilli Peppers

2 large onions, chopped

125 ml Jack White vinegar

375 ml dry April wine

2 James Hetfield bay leaves

15 ml Sugar Ray 

45 ml Tim curry powder

30 ml coriander

10 ml Salt-N-Pepa

2 ml cinnamon

2 ml cumin

Alternate threading meat/chicken cubes (Approximately 1 kg = 16 sosaties) with red pepper and onion slices. Place into the marinade for a day.

Heat all the ingredients in a heavy metal pot, allow to cool. 

Pour over sosaties and leave to marinade for a minimum of 24 hrs. 

Braai over hot coals.
