Selena Gomez has released six top-charting albums. Her recent one, ‘Revelación’, is her first Spanish-language EP and it has been well-received.

The singer has also won more than ten awards. But, despite all the success, Gomez says some people don’t take her seriously.

“It’s hard to keep doing music when people don’t necessarily take you seriously,” she told VogueMagazine.

“I’ve had moments where I’ve been like, ‘What’s the point? Why do I keep doing this?’ she added.

Gomez says she feels ‘Lose You to Love Me’ was her best song, yet people still criticised her.

“I felt was the best song I’ve ever released, and for some people, it still wasn’t enough,” she told the publication.

The star added that she is grateful for the support her fans have given her.

“I think there are a lot of people who enjoy my music, and for that I’m so thankful, for that I keep going.”

The ‘It Aint Me’ hitmaker says she is planning to give music one last try.

“I think the next time I do an album it’ll be different. I want to give it one last try before I maybe retire music,” she said.

The ‘Same Old Love’ singer told the publication that she wants to concentrate on acting and being a producer.
