Video: Riana Nel says "thank you" to all the frontline workers with emotional new song

Nursing Day is celebrated on 12 May, the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. To celebrate, Riana Nel shared a new song to pay tribute to these essential workers.

International Day of the Nurse is celebrated on 12 May and this year its the 200th anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale.
Many celebrities around the globe took to social media to highlight the importance of nurses in the healthcare system and thanked nurses for what they do. One of these being local musician and 'The Voice SA' coach, Riana Nel.

Nel wrote and performed a special song for all frontline workers. "I wrote this song to say thank you to all the ANGELS that look after our people at this time! God bless you!" she wrote on Facebook.
