The 2018 MTV Video Music Awards were a night to remember, with an epic performance from Jennifer Lopez bringing a nostalgic dimension to the show.

Jennifer Lopez had the crowd in the palm of her hands when she took to the stage at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards on Monday night.
The star performed a medley of her most iconic hits for her first performance at the awards show since her VMA debut in 2001.
The 49-year-old kicked off her performance with 'Waiting For Tonight' and 'On The Floor', dressed in a Versace caftan. The popstar then stripped down into a shimmering gold bodysuit for 'Dance Again', 'I Ain’t Your Mama', 'Love Don’t Cost A Thing', and 'Get It Right'.
The performance took to new heights when the singer broke through a 'brick wall' and hopped onto a train to perform 'Jenny From The Block' featuring Ja Rule.
At the end of the performance, the singer was handed the Video Vanguard Award.

In her acceptance speech, it wasn't much of a surprise that she thanked her children, Max and Elle, as well as her boyfriend Alex Rodriguez: “You’re like my twin soul. We’re like mirror images of each other. You make me realize every day the sky is no the limit."
