Willow Smith joins her mom's former band for a special Mother's Day tribute
This is the sweetest way to show your mom just how much she means to you.
It is said that the apple does not fall far from the tree. This is true in the case of Willow Smith who, like her mom, Jada Pinkett Smith, is an entertainer of note.
As a young girl, she grew up watching her mother perform with nu metal band, Wicked Wisdom.
“She was a rockstar and I was living for Wicked Wisdom,” said Willow on ‘Red Table Talk’.
To celebrate Mother’s Day, the 20-year-old singer thought the best way to spoil her mom would be to reunite Wicked Wisdom and perform with them.
“I felt like it was only right for me to pay homage to a time in her life because she showed me what womaning up really is about,” said the 'Time Machine’ hitmaker.

Willow and the band performed ‘Bleed All Over Me’.
The multi-talented Willow not only sang, but also played the guitar while her mom watched.
Jada seemed pleasantly surprised.
She took to Instagram to say what the performance meant for her.
“Today we have a very, very special episode of RTT. honoring some very special Mothers for Mother’s Day! @willowsmith orchestrated a really big surprise for me on this episode as well by paying homage to my Wicked Wisdom days. She decided to perform one her fav songs she would watch me perform when she was on tour with me. My heart burst in a thousand different ways having my daughter honor me in this way. I love you Willow,” she wrote.
