WATCH: The first look inside Lily Mine
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
As the sun sets on the eighth day of rescue operations, new visuals have been released from inside Lily Mine in Mpumalanga.
Three workers are still trapped.
These are the first visuals released from inside the facility since a crown pillar collapsed at the mine last Friday.
Mine management released the visuals late on Friday afternoon.
The two women and a man became trapped when the metal container they were in plummeted nearly 100m underground.
Yvonne Mnisi is stuck in the container with Solomon Nyerende and Pretty Nkambule.
Rescue teams are yet to lay eyes on the container.
