Alan Thicke dies at 69

Actor Alan Thicke, known for his role in the 1980s sitcom "Growing Pains", has died at the age of 69.
According to reports, Robin Thicke's dad suffered from a heart attack and was transported to a medical centre in California yesterday.
Grammy award nominated-singer Robin Thicke told the Los Angeles Times newspaper that his dad was playing hockey with one of his other sons when he suffered the heart attack.
Meanwhile, messages of support have been pouring in with fans taking to social media.
" So sad. A great actor, but more than that, a father who will be missed by his family at Christmas" one user posted on his official facebook page.

Alan Willis Thicke was a Canadian actor, songwriter, and game and talk show host, who was born Alan Willis Jeffery on the 1 March 1947.
He is known for his role as Jason Seaver, the father, on the ABC television series Growing Pains.
His son is the singer Robin Thicke.
Thicke was inducted into Canada's Walk of Fame in 2013.
