Charlene Brouwer speaks out against abuse

SA actress, Charlene Brouwer who starred in the critically acclaimed Afrikaans movie, Dis Ek, Anna, has spoken out against the abuse of women and children.
Brouwer addressed the audience during a special screening of the movie in Mbombela on Thursday afternoon as part of the Bikers For Mandela Day's annual road trip.
Dis ek, Anna is a 2015 South African drama based on novels by Anchien Troskie and is set in modern-day South Africa.
It tells the story of Anna Bruwer, who avenges years of abuse suffered at the hands of her stepfather and the court case that ensues.
The movie won six SAFTA awards this year:
