Disney has released a first glimpse into the world of Merry Poppins and Emily Blunt will take over from Julie Andrews in the sequel.
Merry Poppins returns will hit cinemas in 2018 but Disney has released a photo of Emily Blunt in the iconic role of Merry Poppins.
The follow-up to the 1964 original is perhaps one of the most anticipated Disney releases that flashes forward to the era of the Great Depression and a now grown-up Jane and Michael Banks.

Synopsis
In Depression-era London, a now-grown Jane and Michael Banks, along with Michael's three children, are visited by the enigmatic Mary Poppins following a personal loss.
Through her unique magical skills, and with the aid of her friend Jack, she helps the family rediscover the joy and wonder missing in their lives.
The movie also stars Merry Streep, Dick van Dycke and Colin Firth.
