Kelly Khumalo mourns the death of Teekay Kotu: " The pain is too much"

The singer took to social media to share the pain she has been feeling following the passing of Teekay Kotu.

Kelly Khumalo is mourning the passing of her dear friend and colleague Jacob Titus Kota, popularly known by his stage name Teekay. 

Teekay is a famous percussionist and musician who has worked with Kelly Khumalo and Rhythmic Elements.

He released the song, 'Passop' featuring Kelly Khumalo, last year.

Khumalo took to Instagram to share how his death has affected her. 

"This I have not come to terms with and I don’t think I ever will," wrote the singer.

She said the pain is too much. 

"I know I’m strong but no one prepared me for this," she said. 

The star added that she doesn't know how she will carry on without Teekay. 

"How do I go on without my friend, my brother, my kids uncle, my mothers child? How do I get on that stage without you? Kodwa ke kulungile makuvume wena Jehova [ However, it is well if God has allowed]. Rest In Peace Ngwana mme I will always carry you in my heart," she wrote. 

The memorial service is set to be held in Ga-Rankuwa on Thursday, 27 January, from 1pm until 3pm.
