South African singers, Kelly Khumalo and Kurt Darren visited the Scenic Drive ahead of South Africa's brand new singing competition, 'Stand Up SA'.

South African singers Kelly Khumalo and Kurt Darren are the judges of South Africa's brand new singing competition, 'Stand Up SA'.

Her Vocal Highness, Kelly Khumalo is one of South Africa's most talented and well-known singers. The award-winning singer shot to fame after the release of her debut album T.K.O. Khumalo was named the Best Newcomer of 2005 in the Afro Pop music circuit. Khumalo also has her own gin called, 'Controversy'.

In 2020, Khumalo's hit reality show, 'Living With Kelly Khumalo' debuted on the streaming platform, Showmax. Her new album, 'The Voice Of Africa' delves into themes of love and the richness of African history.

Kurt Darren is a well-known singer and songwriter who's been in the industry for years. Darren has won seven South African Music Awards from 2007 to 2011.

Last year, Darren released his new single, 'Die Goeie Ou Dae'.

'Stand Up SA' is a singing competition for family members and the judges are looking for the best parent-child singing duets of South Africa.

Kelly Khumalo and Kurt Darren visited the Scenic Drive to talk about the new and exciting competition. 

"I'm a mom and it's going to be really difficult to tell children that they can't sing," Khumalo said.  

"The show is about the judges and audience standing up after a performance. They count the number of people standing - and from there a decision is made."
