Award-winning musician, Kelly Khumalo's attire at Somizi Mhlongo's birthday party has left social media divided, with some users labeling it "creepy".

Kelly Khumalo has never been one to shy away from controversy. 

Over the weekend, the singer found herself trending on social media following the attire she wore to Somizi Mhlongo's 50th birthday party celebration. 

Kelly wore a dress made of teddy bears. She revealed on social media that she was dressed by fashion designer, TSOTETSI KL. 

Her attire stole the show, leaving many social media users divided. Kelly is not the first celeb to wear an outfit made with teddy bears. Last year international star, Drake, also had heads turning when he wore a coat adorned with teddy bears.

Social media reaction

Scores of people on social media have commented about Kelly's attire. While some said her outfit is inspiration, others labeled it as 'creepy'.

"The voice 100% on point, mara get rid of whoever styled you sis!," one of Kelly's followers commented on Instagram. 

"Love the Teddy concept, it says something about sacredness of children, how they need to have a home and be protected all the time, indeed praying for a much more safe SA for Women and Children," wrote an IG user. 

"I’m not a hater but Kelly Khumalo’s teddy bear attire is so creepy," wrote Twitter user Khumo Mosaka. 

"I'm trying to understand the inspiration behind Kelly Khumalo's outfit performing  lastnight at #SomiziGoldenJubilee yho,"wrote Twitter user Charlie Afrikka.

Kelly's latest album 

Kelly's latest album, 'From A God to a King', is finally out. 

The album was released in February.

According to Apple Music, it is Kelly's tenth studio album. 

The album has seven songs.
