The 57-year-old singer is currently embroiled in a custody battle with her former husband Guy Ritchie, 47, over their 15-year-old son and TMZ reports she told fans during the gig that "there's no love stronger than a mother for her son" before bursting into tears.

Madonna then dedicated 'La Vie en Rose' to Rocco, who is currently living in London with his father.

Her dedication comes not long after it was claimed that Madonna and the filmmaker are "close to a custody deal".

The former couple are reportedly hoping to agree that Rocco can live in the United Kingdom with his father if he makes regular trips back to the United States to see his mother.

A source said: "It's obvious they can't force Rocco to return and the judge was told he's too old to be forced.

"But Madonna wants to make sure she regularly sees him and they spend time together. They're just looking at the final details now like public holidays."

Meanwhile, at a hearing at London's High Court earlier this week, the pair were urged to reach an "amicable" decision in the best interests of their son.

Judge Mr. Justice MacDonald said: "It would be my fervent hope that discussions between the parties can reach an amicable resolution.

"An amicable negotiated resolution is definitely the way forward and in Rocco's best interests ... Unfortunately, Rocco will have to experience additional emotional upset."

The hearing comes after a New York court ruled that Rocco should stay in London with his father for the meantime so he can attend their chosen school.
