Mariah Carey is in SA
US songstress and self-proclaimed diva, Mariah Carrey arrived in South Africa earlier this week and performed to fans in Cape Town on Tuesday.
Soon after the "diva" arrived in the mother city for the SA leg of her Sweet Sweet Fantasy World Tour, reports started doing the rounds that she insisted that Table Mountain be lit up with purple lights during her performance.
Social media was abuzz after it was reported that Mariah would not perform unless her request was met.
The City of Cape Town however denied that they received such a bizarre request from the organisers of the show.
Mimi took to the stage and didn't disappoint with her vocal ability and wardrobe changes, and even dedicated a song to her late friend, Prince, who died in his home last Thursday.
Mariah Care will perform in Johannesburg on the 1st and 2nd of May.
