Minnie Dlamini shares childhood memory of her dad and Mbongeni Ngema

Minnie Dlamini shared the sweet story that her father told her about how incredible Mbongeni was from a young age.
Minnie Dlamini is one of the celebrities who is mourning the death of Mbongeni Ngema.
The legendary playwright died in a head-on collision at the age of 68 on Wednesday evening.
Following his death, scores of messages have been pouring in on social media.
Minnie shared a touching tribute to the late star on Instagram. She hailed Ngema as one of the greatest playwrights.
"One of the greatest playwrights & talents this country has produced!!! I remember studying his work in Dramatic Arts at school and realising his genius was before Sarafina!!! His performance in Woza Albert is physical theatre in its absolute perfection, which he wrote too!" Minnie wrote on Instagram.

She also shared a fond memory that her father shared about the young Mbongeni.
"However, all his global accolades, are made sweeter by my father’s memory of the young legend. They grew up [in] Kwa Mashu, in Durban, the township I was born in.
"My dad would tell the story and just laugh. Mbongeni, as a kid would go to town and watch a movie at the cinema. He would then come back home, gather everyone around and start reenacting the whole movie!"
Minnie says her dad used to describe Mbongeni as incredible.
"My dad says he was incredible even at a young age!!! It is no surprise he is the man I painfully pay tribute to today."
She thanked the legend for the work he has done in shaping South Africa.
"Rest easy King!!! Rest in Power that your words & stories shaped this country and its healing!!! What an ABSOLUTE ICON. You fuelled my love for drama in all its beautiful facets and I and many others are so grateful."

Ngema is known for his incredible work which includes the award-winning 'Sarafina', 'Woza Albert' and his recent one 'Black'.
He was an actor, choreographer, composer, and singer.
