SAMA host double-act sure to set pulses racing

The South African Music Awards has announced that Somizi Mhlongo and Tumi Morake will host the SAMA 23 awards next weekend.
The organisers say they are super-excited to have the larger-than-life Somizi and award-winning comedian steering the show.
"The coming together of these two local powerhouses will sure yield star wattage that will set the Sun City Superbowl alight with fun, laughter and wisecracks as the music industry honours its finest talent," organisers say.
Mhlongo is a much-loved theatre and television veteran, as well as singer. He returns as host after presenting the show alongside Thando Thabethe last year.
Morake is the reigning queen of South African comedy and a respected television host.
"Our team is hard at work putting together a ceremony befitting the stature of the SAMA awards. We have every faith in Somizi and Tumi that they will add that extra zing to the proceedings and leave us entertained," RiSA CEO Nhlanhla Sibisi says.
The main SAMA 23 event will take place on the 27th of May.
