Emari teaches art at Sutherland High School in Eldoraigne, Centurion, and is mother to two daughters. Moments after being announced the winner, Emari said it still felt like a dream.

Current Miss South Africa, Tamaryn Green, who was in attendance at the event said that Emari is a deserving cover star and that she adores Emari's relationship with her kids; "I can't believe that a mother could still do so many things, look amazing - and to show what it means to actually be a woman."

Announcing the winner SARIE editor Michélle van Breda revealed Emari would be featured on four different covers  – a first for the magazine.

“All four covers are beautiful. But seen together they show Emari’s versatility, playfulness and ease in front of the lens. She owned the photo session. It was impossible to ignore her!”
