Who were snubbed during Golden Globes announcement?

Johnny Depp, Kit Harington, Amy Poehler, Taylor Shilling and 'Mad Men' have all been snubbed for Golden Globes.

Golden Globes

The Hollywood actor - who received a nod for 2010 comedy film 'The Tourist' - missed out on a nod for his portrayal of gang leader James "Whitey" Bulger in crime drama movie 'Black Mass' when nominations were revealed earlier today (10.12.15).

'Game of Thrones' star Kit's character Jon Snow was killed off this year but the dramatic scenes clearly didn't help the hunk get a Golden Globe nod for Best Actor in a TV Drama series as his name was not on the Hollywood Foreign Press Association's (HFPA) list.

Taylor, who stars as Piper Chapman in prison comedy-drama series 'Orange is the New Black', missed out for Best Actress in a Comedy, with Rachel Bloom, Jamie Lee Curtis, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Gina Rodriguez and Lily Tomlin all receiving nominations today.

Amy Poehler and Amy Schumer were snubbed in the same category for their roles in 'Parks And Recreation' and 'Inside Amy Schumer' respectively, and there weren't any laughs for the stars of 'Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt' and 'Broad City' - both shows missed out on Best Comedy nods.

There were several other shocks in the small screen nods for the Best Drama accolade as 'Mad Men' wasn't recognised, although leading man Jon Hamm is up for Best Actor in a TV Drama series for his portrayal of Don Draper in the AMC show.

'The Good Wife' and 'Jessica Jones' also missed out, as did TV series 'House of Cards' and 'The Walking Dead'.

Other omissions in the movie categories include bio drama 'Straight Outta Compton', and Hollywood actress Nicole Kidman missed out for 'Grace of Monaco'.

What's more, Tom Hanks' role as lawyer James B. Donovan in historical thriller 'Bridge of Spies' clearly didn't impress the HFPA enough as he was snubbed in the Best Actor category.

The nominations were announced by America Ferrera, Angela Bassett, Dennis Quaid and Chloe Grace Moretz at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles on Thursday (10.12.15).

The 73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards will be held on January 10, 2016, at the Beverly Hilton and hosted by Ricky Gervais.
