10 injured in taxi and light motor vehicle collision in Benoni
Ten people were injured Thursday morning after a taxi and car collided in Ekhuruleni, said paramedics.
ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said the accident happened at the Ampthill and Swan Road intersection in the Benoni CBD.
Meiring said paramedics established that the taxi had been rear-ended in the collision.
“On assessment, paramedics found that ten occupants from the taxi had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate.”
Paramedics treated the patients for their injuries and transported them to Sunshine Hospital for further treatment.
No-one from the car sustained any injuries.
The cause of the collision is being investigated by local authorities.
