11 killed in Eastern Cape bus crash

The Eastern Cape Department of Health has confirmed 11 people, including three children, have been killed in a bus crash on the R61 between Ngcobo and Elliot.
The cause of the accident is still unknown.
"We dispatched three helicopters and ambulances, we treated the scene as a disaster. We took a total of 35 people to hospital, some of them in a critical condition. Some passengers escaped unharmed," says the department's Sizwe Kupelo.
He says an emergency workers are on scene trying to rescue three people trapped in the wreckage.
Kupelo says the number of fatalities is expected to rise.
