A 16-year-old boy was left critically injured when he allegedly jumped off the back of a moving bakkie while driving along the N1 highway in Randburg on Tuesday morning.

ER24 spokesperson, Russel Meiring, says they arrived at the scene to find the boy lying on the side of the road along with two of his friends.
Meiring says on scene assement showed that the boy had suffered numerous injuries and was in critical condition.
The boy was treated with advanced life support interventions and was transported to a nearby hospital.
