2 kids killed in NW bus crash

North West police are investigating a case of culpable homicide after a bus crash killed two teenagers in Groot Marico.
Police spokesperson Sam Tselanyane says the bus overturned while transporting school pupils.
"It is alleged that this morning at about 7:30 the bus transporting learners from Doornlaagte to Groot Marico stopped near the N4 road. Allegedly the driver alighted the bus to confront one of the passengers who got off the bus after the driver alighted the bus it then rolled backwards until it fell on its side."
Tselanyane says the 15 and 16-year-olds were trapped in the bus and subsequently died.

"Allegedly the bus was loaded with 49 learners of the two schools which Thuto Ke Maatla Comprehensive School and Phenyobutle Primary school respectively."
Tselanyane says 40 pupils sustained minor to serious injuries and seven were left unscathed.
He says the 47-year-old driver was arrested.
The driver will appear at the Lehurutshe M agistrate Court soon.
