4 Joburg metro police officers test positive for Covid-19

The Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) has confirmed that four of its officers have tested positive for Covid-19.
The positive cases came to light after an official, who fell ill last week, tested positive for the virus.

Spokesperson Wayne Minnaar says a total of 107 officials were tested by Monday afternoon.
"One officer fell ill on night shift on Wednesday 13 May and was tested at Milpark Hospital. The positive results were received on Friday.
"A total of 107 officers were tested by Monday afternoon and three more officers tested positive for Covid-19. They are also currently in quarantine."
Minnaar says the testing and screening of officers continued on Thursday.
"JMPD management arranged for other officers who worked with the infected officer to be tested.
