Police in Limpopo have launched a manhunt for an unknown number of suspects in connection with the brutal killing of four people in the province on Monday.
It’s understood a mob torched houses and vehicles at Mutele village, leaving four people dead in the attacks.
According to provincial police spokesperson Motlafela Mojapelo, the incident was sparked by the disappearance of a 25-year-old man who was reported missing last week Monday.
But the exact details remain unknown.
“The Provincial Commissioner of police in Limpopo Lieutenant General Nneke Ledwaba has condemned this incident and ordered that the 72-houractivation plan be implemented to hunt down the killers,” says Mojapelo.
Four counts of murder and arson have been opened.
Mojapelo adds: “Arrests are eminent”.
