6-year-old girl drowns in dam
A six-year-old girl drowned in a dam near the Ingeli school, in Kokstad, on Tuesday, said KwaZulu-Natal Emergency Medical Services (EMS).
The girl was rescued by family members, but died on the scene, said spokesman Robert McKenzie.
She was part of a group of people swimming in the dam.
Police were investigating.
