7-year-old dies in bus accident
A 7-year-old boy was killed after being hit by a bus at the Claredon and Birmingham Road intersection in Actonville, east of Johannesburg on Tuesday morning.
ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring says the boy was declared dead on the scene.
"Medics quickly assessed the boy and found that he had sustained numerous injuries and showed no signs of life. Unfortunately, nothing could be done for him and he was declared dead."
The boy was found lying in the middle of the road with the bus parked a short distance away from the incident.
Passengers on the bus sustained no injuries.
