Afternoon summer storms to thunder up the skies once again
Updated | By Sibahle Motha
The first seasonal thunderstorms are expected to make a return over various provinces late Wednesday
orecaster at the South African Weather Service (SAWS), Tokello Chiloane, says the showers are expected over Gauteng, Limpopo and Mpumalanga.
Furthermore, temperatures are also expected to rise to over 30 degrees Celsius.
“This is because of summer knocking in. This is a transition between winter and summer. This is only going to be for today. However, tomorrow only Mpumalanga and Limpopo are expecting thunderstorms,” adds Chiloane.

It is not yet clear when Gauteng will receive more rainfall as dams across the province are drying up.
However, Chiloane says more rain can be expected in October, during the summer season.
