A 20-year-old man will appear in the KwaDukuza Magistrate’s Court on Monday charged with possession of drugs, KwaZulu-Natal police said on Sunday.
The Durban flying squad narcotics team arrested the man for alleged possession of drugs at Ballito Bay Mall in Ballito on Friday, after they received information about a man dealing in drugs at the mall parking area, spokesman Major Thulani Zwane said in a statement.
“Members immediately proceeded to the said place and approached a vehicle which matched a description provided to them. The suspect tried to flee but he was subsequently cornered and placed under arrest.
He was searched and found in possession of ten packets of cocaine powder, as well as cash, Zwane said.
