ANC leagues in Gauteng come out in support of Zuma
Updated | By Samkele Maseko
Differences within the ANC in Gauteng have been laid bare.
The different leagues in the province addressed the media Wednesday afternoon, a day after the mother body in Gauteng issued a statement, calling on President Zuma to 'do the right thing'.
The leagues in Gauteng said they were confused as to what the ANC PEC meant when it said the president needed to do the right thing.
They vowed to support President Zuma until the bitter end, even though they agree that Zuma needs to pay back the Nkandla money.
The ANCYL deputy chairperson in Gauteng, Vuyo Mhaga, said the leagues were not divided, but that it was merely a difference of opinion.
"We don't know exactly what does it mean to do the right thing. Our understanding is that they might possibly be with us that the president must finish up until 2017," Mhaga said.
