Angry Bronkhorstspruit residents barricade roads

Emergency services in Bronkhorstspruit have urged motorists to use alternative routes amid Thursday morning's protests.
Bronkhorstspruit 911 Responders' Brandon Colson says the reason for the protest remains unclear.
"It is just a small protest action with members of the public causing havoc there. I am not quite sure yet as to why it is happening as we haven't been informed yet. "
The protesters have barricaded roads with debris and thrown rocks at vehicles attempting to pass.
"We are urging members of the public to be careful. If you are climbing off onto the N4 from Bronkhorstspruit towards Witbank and also on the R104 four-way also going to Witbank."
“Motorists are urged to use the N12 from Bronkhorstspruit so it will be the backside of Bronkhorstspruit using the R568 then on to the R25 and R42 to Delmas and come onto the N12 in Bronkhorstspruit as alternative routes,” says Colson.
