Another morning of protests at TUT
Updated | By JacarandaFM News
A group of students are convening for another day of protests at the Tshwane University of Technology's (TUT) Soshanguve South campus.
Claims have been made of an eight percent fee increase that is on the cards at the institution.
But university spokesperson Willa De Ruyter says these are rumours - and that the university will convene a press conference if any decision is taken on the matter.
Students on Friday threatened to shut down the campus this week if management and the SRC did not engage with them over the fee increment and the currents state of facilities on campus.
"We are willing to go to classes if management say they are willing to come on board and discuss the issues pertaining to this campus and the issues of fees," Sthembiso Mcube from Pasma said.
Students are moving to residences to mobilise support for their cause.
