Another shooting at Glebelands, leaves three injured
Updated | By Jarryd Subroyen
Three people have been rushed to hospital after being shot at Durban's Glebelands Hostel.
The police's Thulani Zwane says they are still trying to gather information about today's shooting - and those behind it.
He says the motive for the shooting is unknown at this stage.
"The Umlazi police have opened three counts of attempted murder. We are appealing to the members of the community that they must please stay calm and that the police are monitoring the situation. There are patrolling the hostel and the surrounding area," he says.
Zwane urging anyone who has information about the shooting to assist with the investigation.
Last week Wednesday, a man and a woman were shot dead within half an hour of each other, at Block P and Block 46 respectively at the crime-ridden hostel.
The shootings also come as Parliament's Police Portfolio Committee visits KwaZulu-Natal to assess the state of policing in the province.
