Awaiting trial prisoners jump from back of moving police van

Limpopo police have launched a massive manhunt for four
awaiting trial prisoners who made a daring escape from police
custody on Wednesday.
Police spokesperson Moatshe Ngoepe says the prisoners were being transported from the Haenertsburg police station near Tzaneen to Polokwane.
One of the prisoners was re-arrested not long after the daring escape.
"The remaining four escapees who were arrested for different crimes which they committed in the Haenertsburg policing precinct, are still at large," says Ngoepe.
The men are facing a charge of escaping from lawful custody.

The escapees were identified as:
* Thomas Nkuna aged 34 from Rwanda village in the Nwamitoa area outside Tzaneen and staying in Wisani village in the Mhlaba-Cross area outside Tzaneen.
* Jeffrey Nkuna aged 27 from Rwanda village in the Nwamitoa area outside Tzaneen.
* George Nkuna aged 19 from Wisani village in the Mhlaba-Cross area outside Tzaneen.
* Abel Modiba also known as 'ABSA' aged 31 from Motjeteng village near Lenyenye outside Tzaneen.
