Basic Education preparing for full-time return of pupils
Updated | By Gaopalelwe Phalaetsile
The Department of Basic Education says preparations will now be made for the full-time return of pupils to school.
Schools are set to ditch the rotation system on Monday.
This comes after Cabinet approved adjusted level 1 lockdown regulations on Monday, which allows schools to do away with the hybrid model and 1-metre social distancing.
The new regulations follow the country exiting the fourth wave of infections.
In a media statement the department said they are now in the process of preparing for Monday to ensure there are changes in the schools' timetables.
The department will gazette new directives in the coming days.
