Molefe and the rest of the board were dismissed this week by Transport Minister Dipuo Peters.

Molefe says they will be filing an urgent court interdict today.

"I am busy studying the application itself and I will be meeting with the lawyers at about 9.00am this morning. Hopefully by 12.00pm we will be able to file," says Molefe.

Molefe says Peters failed to adhere to their deadline of 7 pm Friday night to provide reasons for the board's dismissal.

"We wrote to the minister asking her to withdraw her dismissal. Failing which she should give reason and we gave her until 3.00pm yesterday," says Molefe.

Molefe says they received a reply from the Director of Corporate Legal Services telling them they need time until Tuesday next week.

"We wrote a second letter saying we will give them until 7.00pm the same day. To the extent that they could not give reasons, they should make an undertaking that they would not proceed to appoint an interim board," says Molefe.

He says they indicated in the letter that if they do not receive such an undertaking, they will launch an application on an urgent basis today.
