Behind the Spotlight: Annie Malan

There's a reason why she tamed the Knysna forest when she was only a little girl back in 1988. It's because Annie Malan is a force of nature.
At the tender age of 11 she was introduced to the world of lights, camera, action as Nina in the popular movie "Fiela se kind". She quickly established herself as a child actor of note in South Africa with roles in Saartjie, n Pot vol Winter, Emily Hobhouse and Glaskasteel.
At 19, she broke through another barrier when she made headlines and obtained a High Court declaration that she could take charge of her own business responsibilities.

Annie now runs a well established direct marketing company.
She might have exchanged the serenity of the forest of 31 years ago for the hustle and bustle of Sandton, but Annie tells us she constantly feeds her love for acting and the movies, in a variety of ways.
When she dares give herself some time off these days, you will find her...well...amongst the birdies...
