Bill Gates to deliver Nelson Mandela lecture
Updated | By Slindelo Masikane
Microsoft founder and philanthropist Bill Gates will deliver the 14th annual Nelson Mandela lecture in Pretoria on Sunday.
The lecture will be held at the University of Pretoria's Mamelodi campus on the eve of Madiba's birthday.
The foundation says the lecture is dedicated to the many residents of Mamelodi who gave their lives in the struggle for liberation and democracy in our country.
The theme for this year's lecture is "Living Together".
In his lecture, Gates is expected to map out his vision of how to create a better world for all.
In a statement Gates said he felt privileged to add his voice to the conversation this year - adding that Mandela would be remembered for generations to come "for his courage, his vision, and his relentless pursuit of equality and justice".
