Black Friday: Debt Rescue warns of overspending using credit
Updated | By Anastasi Mokgobu
Debt Rescue CEO Neil Roets has warned cash-strapped consumers not to resort to credit amid the Black Friday hype.

It’s given advice to shoppers as stores and online platforms roll out limited promotions and discounts ahead of what's known to be the year's biggest shopping day.
Black Friday in the US is traditionally known to kick off the Christmas shopping season.
The Christmas shopping frenzy tradition kicks off this Friday, with some stores already running massive sales of up to 80% until the first week of December.
Roets has pleaded with consumers to avoid unplanned spending.
"The reality is that people are spending a lot of money during this time. Unfortunately, it is not always a matter of people spending the money that they have. A lot of people are getting hooked up on this hype of Black Friday and the fact that there are big specials, and they tend to overspend money that they don't have."
