Blood found in post office where Uyinene's alleged killer worked

Bloodstains were found at the post office in Claremont where Uyinene Mrwetyana is said to have been murdered.

The 42-year-old male suspect has been charged with the 19-year-old's rape, murder and for defeating the ends of justice.
Mrwetyana was last seen alive two weeks ago at a post office in Claremont where the suspect - accused of allegedly raping and bludgeoning his victim - works.

The accused appeared at the Wynberg Magistrates court on Monday.
The Western Cape's National Prosecuting Authority's (NPA) Eric Ntabazalila says the court also heard that blood was found on his shoes and in his car.
Ntabazalila says the magistrate has asked for the accused's identity to be withheld.
"There's still going to be an identity parade still to be done once that process has been finalise the media will be free to announce his name."

The case has been postponed to November 5.
The state is also awaiting the final DNA and forensics reports.
